Amy Leow, MA, R-DMT

Dance/Movement Therapist

Amy is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist.  Amy received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College Chicago.  Amy has completed internships in both cancer care and working with adults with developmental disabilities and began work as a Dance/Movement Therapist in the Milwaukee area in 2014.  Amy served both inpatient and outpatient mental health programs for six years, facilitating Dance/Movement Therapy and experiential groups for adolescents and adults diagnosed with depression and anxiety, OCD, addiction, behavioral disorders, and eating disorders.  Amy draws from the theory of Authentic Movement, as well as Narrative Therapy and IFS principles, and believes that Dance/Movement Therapy assists individuals to restore a healthy relationship with their body and to return to their most authentic expression of self.
