Amy is an art therapist from Miami, FL with experience working with neurotypical and neurodiverse adolescents, children, and adults. Through humor, Amy’s relational-cultural approach helps her connecting energetically and authentically with her therapy clients through the use of art materials. With a lens of healing-centered engagement, Amy seeks to find and center client strengths to encourage self-acceptance and healthy functioning in a complex and systematic world. Amy received her Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling at School of the Institute of Chicago. Amy also carries a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Psychology and incorporates this training into her work. Outside of Art Therapy, Amy loves spending time with animals, creating fiber art for herself and loved ones, and enjoying media, considering herself to be a human database of TV and movies.
