Chance is an Art Therapist and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. Chance earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin with focus areas in psychology, performance art, women and gender studies, sculpture, and photography. Chance earned a Master of Arts in Art Therapy from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and completed clinical training at Center on Halsted, the Midwest’s largest LGBTQ community center. Using strengths based, social justice, and trauma informed frameworks, Chance has collaborated with clients in acute behavioral health institutions, public spaces, offices, and homes to make positive changes in their lives and communities. At the core of Chance’s clinical work is a desire to help others find and connect with their unique strengths to tackle life’s problems creatively. Chance is especially interested in supporting LGBTQ folks and people of color.
