As the new CEO of Institute for Therapy Through the Arts, Chrissy brings a unique skill set of business acumen through an educational lens. Most recently, Chrissy served as the Head of School at Fusion Academy in Evanston, IL., where she significantly grew the revenue and team through an increase in student enrollment. Prior to that, Chrissy served as the Business Development and Consulting at the Center for Independent Futures, where she exceeded revenue expectations while being their software brand ambassador. She also served as Campus Director at the nonprofit High Jump in Chicago and Guidance Counselor/Case Manager/Teacher at Galileo Academy, Chicago Public Schools.
Chrissy has both personal and professional connections to the therapeutic field. She participated in the creation of the framework of the counseling program used in Chicago Public Schools to address the social/emotional needs of students. Chrissy is passionate about the mission of ITA and truly believes in empowering individuals, families, and communities to grow and heal through therapeutic supports that resonate with each individual. Chrissy’s own child has experienced the power of healing and discovery through art therapy. It is an incredibly exciting time to be a part of making a positive impact in the mental health field.
Chrissy recently completed her Certification in School Management and Leadership through a joint program of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School. She holds a Master’s in Counseling from Northeastern, a Master’s in Urban Education from the University of Illinois, and a Marketing Degree from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. Chrissy has two children that attend Evanston Township High School, a loving and supportive Partner Mike, and an adorable chocolate lab, Winnie.
