Columbia College Chicago Presents Deaf Awareness Day

deaf-awareness-day-002Part of International Deaf Awareness Week, Presented by the American Sign Language Department at Columbia College Chicago

On Wednesday, September 28, from 10am-3pm, Columbia College Chicago’s Department of American Sign Language (ASL) will host Deaf Awareness Day, showcasing agencies and businesses with community resources for Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened and Interpreters.  Location: Stage Two, 618 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago.

In addition, from Monday, September 26-Friday, September 30, Columbia College Chicago will hold a week-long art exhibition showcasing ASL paintings and other artworks by associate professor Jim Van Manen, PhD.  Location: 33 E. Congress Parkway, Room 404.
