Demystifying the Spectrum: March Presentations Will Provide Understanding for Children with Behavioral Challenges

Professionals Scheduled to Give Parents Insight on Advocating within the Public School System

Are you the parent of a child with behavioral challenges? Are you interested in learning about new ways to support your child and how to advocate for her within the public school system? Join representatives from Autism Speaks, Spectrum Toy Store, Center for Autism and Related Disorders, and Erin Liebman Inc. for Demystifying the Spectrum, a special presentation catered to you by professionals. Topics to be addressed include ABA, Behavior Plans, and IEP Support by presenters Colleen Shinn (Autism Speaks), Everdine VanGalen (CARD), Jamilah Rahim (Spectrum Toy Store), and Erin Liebman, Ed.S/LCPC (Erin Liebman Inc.). Demystifying the Spectrum provides parents a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow so their child can learn and grow.

The workshop will be held on Sunday, March 5 and repeated on Sunday, March 19.  This event is free to the public, and light snacks and refreshments will be provided at 3035 N. Hoyne Avenue in Hamlin Park, Chicago.
