Gwen is a board-certified music therapist who currently works in the Lincolnshire-Prairieview School District with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has a background in inpatient psych and is currently broadening her knowledge based by working with students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the school setting. Due to her background in mental health and her therapeutic approaches, Gwen has a strong focus on assisting clients in creating a healthy self-image, building confidence, expanding on methods of self-expression, and stepping outside of one’s comfort zone. Gwen’s hobbies include going on adventures with her husband and two dogs (a Greyhound and Great Dane), cooking and baking, watching tv, playing phone games, taking dance lessons, and making extremely cheesy jokes and puns.
