ITA is 40! 2015 Honorees

June 9, 2015 by ITA Staff

We are celebrating our 40th Anniversary, by honoring others in the field of Creative Arts Therapy.

Carrie Ann Inaba

We will honor Dancing with the Stars judge, Carrie Ann Inaba with our inaugural Lamplighter Award for Arts in Healing. Carrie Ann will be recognized for her work spreading awareness of the impact of Dance/Movement Therapy with pediatric cancer patients and children with developmental disabilities. Dancers from the Department of Creative Arts Therapies at Columbia College will also perform in her honor.

Harriet Wadeson

ITA will also honor Dr. Harriet Wadeson, a highly esteemed pioneer in the field of Art Therapy, with the Marilyn (Toddy) Richman Legacy Award.

Ted Rubenstein

Finally, our late Clinical Director, Dr. Ted Rubenstein, will be memorialized by naming our robust Professional Development offerings the Ted Rubenstein Integrated Arts Therapy Training Program.
