Executive Director Jenni Rook to Lead Sold-Out Yoga and Meditation Presentation for NASW Members
The Institute for Therapy through the Arts is pleased to announce that Executive Director Jenni Rook, MT-BC, LCPC, will be presenting “Yoga and Meditation for Stress Management and Relaxation”. Following a successful September lecture of the same name, Rook will mirror identical learning objectives in a twin presentation for members of the National Association of Social Workers that is scheduled for this March.
An experiential workshop of high demand, the event sold out early in the winter – though interested parties (including non-NASW members) may still add their names to a waiting list exclusively stationed on the NASW website. Full details about the event may also be acquired from NASW’s Event Calendar.
Yoga and Meditation is set for Friday, March 9, 2018 at 1:30pm. The event will last 2 hours and 30 minutes at ITA’s new location, 2130 Green Bay Road in Evanston. 1.5 CEUs are available with completion. The cost for attendance is $25 for nonmembers and free for NASW members. Visit the official event page at http://www.naswil.org/calendar/events/4784/.

About the Presentation:
Yoga and Meditation for Stress Management and Relaxation will explore how simple yoga poses, meditation, and breathing can be added to one’s therapeutic toolbox. This experiential workshop will engage therapists in interactive demonstrations while providing a foundation for translating yoga’s many benefits to their clients. Yoga and Meditation asks its participants to come prepared to move, to meditate, and to breathe, and encourages comfortable clothing and possibly a personal yoga mat and/or meditation cushion.
