Four New Internship Positions to Kick-Off in the Springtime

ITA is excited to welcome four new interns to our team this spring! ITA offers administrative and clinical internships for students majoring in the Creative Art Therapy fields as well as for students who are interested in learning more about getting into the field. Read below to learn a little about our new interns! Welcome to the team!

Anne is an Art Therapy Intern at ITA. She is currently a graduate student at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and is working to complete her master’s degree in art therapy with an emphasis in mental health counseling. At an undergraduate level, Anne studied art history, English literature, and business management at Indiana University. Over the past 14 years, through self-exploration and working with various art collections and organizations, Anne has gained insight and inspiration through both participation and observation of the creative process leading her to pursue art therapy as a profession. She is excited to join the ITA intern team and looks forward to building new relationships and forging new opportunities for art therapy programs and applications in Chicago and beyond. Anne loves yoga, experimenting with various art media, and sipping tea or coffee—she sometimes even paints with it!

Megan is from Aurora, Illinois and is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University where I studied Fine Arts and psychology on the undergraduate level. Her hobbies range from fossil hunting to music box collecting to illustration. She is extremely excited get some firsthand experience with creative art therapies!
