ITA has partnered with JCFS since last fall to provide creative arts therapy for the students at the Joy Faith Knapp Children’s Center. Through Dance/Movement and Music Therapies, students are engaging with the arts to learn how to manage their impulses, practice new social skills, and identify new ways to express their emotions.
One teacher describes the Dance/Movement therapy sessions with therapist Julie Brannen, “A student of mine loved dance therapy introduced to us by Miss Julie so much that she sought out a dance therapy group outside of school to be a part of. Thank you to Miss Julie for giving our students this opportunity to learn in this way!”
ITA is honored to partner with this incredible organization. To learn more about how ITA can support children of all ages in the community, visit our Community Programs page.
