Julie has had a lifelong journey with movement, bringing her experiences within creative, performative, and therapeutic practices. She facilitates an embodied, whole-hearted, and compassionate practice of fiercely approaching vulnerability in order to release emotional blocks, re-pattern limiting beliefs, access inherent creativity, and empower an internal source of healing, transformation, and abundance. Her field experience includes extensive work with women and girls recovering from eating disorders, addictive behaviors, and traumatic experiences. As a healing artist and clinician, she practices as a dance/movement therapist within the community and private practice realms. As a teaching artist, she works with various community outreach and arts-integration organizations. As an artist, she collaborates and performs locally and beyond. She holds a Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling and Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis from Columbia College Chicago. She believes whole-heartedly in the power of movement to transform and heal.
