Evanston Mayor Stephen Hagerty to Attend Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
The Institute for Therapy through the Arts will be welcoming creative arts therapists, mental health clinicians, medical practitioners and other professionals, to the organization’s 2018 Open House. The March 8th unveiling will officialize the grand opening of ITA’s brand new facility located at 2130 Green Bay Road in Evanston.
The ITA Open House is a recurring event that happens annually, though this year’s occasion is particularly significant, as it will be the very first held at the organization’s new and private space designed specifically with clients in mind.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this important milestone in our organization’s history and open our doors to the community. This new location provides a more optimal space for our unique services, and we hope we can help even more people” says Executive Director, Jenni Rook. “I could not be more grateful to our generous donors for supporting our relocation and allowing us to design our beautiful new clinic.”
Evanston Mayor Stephen Hagerty will be present for a 3:00pm ribbon-cutting ceremony. Other activities planned for the event include tours of the building, live interactive demonstrations of music, art, drama, and dance/movement therapy, and opportunities for professional networking with colleagues and ITA personnel. A new art installation designed by artist Lucy Scott will also be unveiled honoring supporters who helped to make ITA’s fall relocation a success via the non-profit’s 2017 Capital Campaign.
Parties interested in attending are invited to stop in briefly or stay into the evening to learn more about ITA and the creative arts therapy modalities. Festivities are set to start at 2:00pm and doors will remain open until 6:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.
