Mary is a board-certified music therapist currently working with students in the Chicago Public School system. Mary earned her Bachelor’s of Music in Music Therapy at the University of Dayton and completed her internship in a private practice setting working with service-users through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. Throughout her clinical training, she has worked with older adults in memory care, neurodiverse children and adults in community and private settings, women with trauma, and pediatrics in a medical setting. Mary’s music therapy work is rooted in practicing collaborative friendship in music and encouraging clients to feel welcome and comfortable in the therapeutic space. She focuses on working toward client goals and addressing in-the-moment needs during sessions.
Mary is also passionate about engaging in the community around her, learning from others and participating in mentorship. Outside of music therapy, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, practicing yoga, reading books, thrift shopping, taking walks, and cooking new recipes.
