Savannah Couch, LPC, RDT

Drama Therapist

Savannah smiling in front of a brick wall.Savannah received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in child and adolescent counseling from Northwestern University in 2021, and she received her Master of Arts in Drama and Movement Therapy from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London in 2019.

During her clinical drama therapy and counseling internships, Savannah gained experience working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, and trauma and stress-related disorders.

Savannah integrates drama therapy and counseling techniques to help clients move towards psychological healing, growth, and wellness. She infuses creativity and play into therapy to help clients increase emotional expression and build self-insight. Her training was grounded in Jungian theory and psychodynamic principles. Savannah incorporates tools from multiple approaches of drama therapy and counseling to best support the unique needs of each client. She believes in taking a client-centered approach to treatment and focusing on the social-emotional needs underlying behavioral symptoms.
