Assisted Living Facility to Host Event Connecting Older Adults to the Arts
Save the date: Wednesday, May 16, 2018, The Garlands of Barrington will be holding their 2018 “Arts and Aging” fair, and the community is excited to invite individuals and organizations that work to connect older adults to the arts.
Arts and Aging will be an interactive experience that will showcase how the arts can be used progressively throughout the aging process. Information will be shared about several creative outlets that are available to older adults, their families, caregivers and healthcare professionals. Local artists and organizations who work with and promote the creative expression and wellness of older adults will be featured, and live arts demonstrations will be given from The Garland’s main stage. The evening comes complete with a complimentary dinner, refreshments, and door prize.
Arts and Aging will be held at 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, Illinois. This fair is an opportunity for your organization to exhibit its services and to network with others who also serve the senior population. An educational presentation on “Creativity & Aging” will serve as an excellent convergence point during the event. Healthcare professionals are welcome to opt-in for a 1.0-hr. CEU.
