Brad is a board- certified and licensed professional music therapist and clinical supervisor who has been with ITA since 2017. With over eight years of experience, Brad has provided music therapy in a wide range of settings – including schools, nursing homes, memory care units, hospitals, and community support organizations – and currently sees individual clients at ITA’s Evanston clinic.

Brad’s therapeutic work is grounded in an anti-oppressive, relational framework informed by existential-humanistic theory, critical and post-structuralist philosophies. They are deeply committed to social justice and view therapy as both a personal and political act – believing that the role of the therapist extends beyond the therapy room into community-based advocacy and activism.

Brad’s work is shaped by a dedication to autism rights, trans rights, disability justice, women’s rights, and the liberation of Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color. They bring their full, intersectional identity – as a white, queer, and neurodivergent clinician – into the therapeutic relationship, fostering a space that centers authenticity, curiosity, and liberation.

Outside of ITA, Brad is an avid chess player and philosophy enthusiast. They enjoy spending time with their three cats, reading, watching anime, and playing video games.

Education and Affiliations: Master of Music in Music Therapy, Slippery Rock University, Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy, Eastern Michigan University, Advanced Training in Existential-Humanistic therapy, Existential-Humanistic Institute (EHI) San Francisco
