Karina is an art therapist with experience supporting neurodiverse children, adolescents, and adults in school, home, clinic, and community settings. They currently provide art therapy services to students in Chicago Public Schools, drawing on a culturally responsive and justice-informed framework.

Karina’s therapeutic approach integrates mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, social action, and humanistic principles. They are especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and creating inclusive, affirming spaces for healing, expression, and empowerment.

Outside of the therapy space, Karina enjoys painting, knitting, playing video games, going to concerts, and reading.

Education and Affiliations: Master of Arts in Clinical Mental health Counseling with Art Therapy, Antioch University New England.
