Lauren Noble

Grant Writer

Lauren is a grant writer, fundraiser, and former educator with a strong track record of securing public and private funding in the nonprofit sector since 2014. She joined the Institute for Therapy through the Arts in 2025 and brings a passion for mission-driven storytelling and strategic development.

Prior to ITA, Lauren served as Director of Development at Accelerate Institute, where she exceed foundation giving goals, led a $1.1M fundraising gala, and managed the Associate Board for Alain Locke Charter School. She previously held development roles at Midori & Friends and The Town Hall in New York City, where she helped secure city council support, implement social justice-aligned programming, and deepened arts education partnerships.

Lauren began her career as an orchestra director for Fairfax County Public Schools, where she taught over 2,000 students, mentored new teachers, and developed district-wide music curriculum. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys playing violin and piano, attending live performances, and spending time in Chicago with her husband and two children.

Education and Affiliations: Master of Arts in Arts Management, George Mason University, Bachelor of Music in Music Education, James Madison University
