Luke is a Registered Drama Therapist with a drive to support his clients at all stages of life. He has experience working with neurodiverse kids and teens in schools and theaters, as well as with neurodiverse adults, seniors with varying levels of dementia, adolescents and adults in psychiatric facilities and LGBTQ+ teens in community settings. Luke’s goals for his clients are to support their social and emotional wellbeing, encourage self-advocacy and to be able to express themselves authentically. Outside of drama therapy, Luke loves to garden, improvise, write plays and go on hiking adventures with his dog.
Sessions with Luke generally entail the client/group to be in the driver seat based on how they are feeling on the day. Sometimes sessions veer towards being active and silly, other times they go more introspective and story-telling and reflective; still other times catharsis and witnessing of imagined events are needed for clients/groups to find a sense of peace and grounding once again. Throughout the session, the client/group will be encouraged to explore different aspects and perspectives of who they are and how they fit into the social fabric of their respective communities.
Luke is currently accepting new clients.
