Maura brings more than 30 years of nonprofit experience to her role as Director of Development at the Institute for Therapy through the Arts. Her career spans museum education, volunteer engagement, program development, and organizational leadership. She has held positions at The Art Institute of Chicago, North Shore Senior Center, and the Ignatian Volunteer Corps, where she led comprehensive fundraising efforts and community partnerships. Most recently, Maura served as Director of Student Development at Fusion Academy in Evanston, stewarding family relationships and supporting school advancement.
Driven by a passion for mission and relationship-building, Maura is inspired by ITA’s unique blend of therapeutic support and the arts. She brings not only development expertise, but a deep understanding of the impact creative therapies have on individuals facing mental health and cognitive challenges.
Maura lives in Evanston with her husband, Dan, and enjoys walking, reading, spending time with friends, and exploring new experiences. Their two adult children live nearby in Chicago.
