Institute for Therapy through the Arts

Create. Grow. Heal.

Megan Curran

Megan (she/her/hers) is a recent graduate of the School of the Art Institute with a master’s in Art Therapy & Counseling. Her research there focused on the intersection of older adult development and creativity late in life.

During her career, Megan has worked as a home aid for a young adult with developmental and physical disabilities, a caregiver for older adults, as well as an art therapy intern at both the Jesse Brown VA Hospital and the Admiral at the Lake. AT ITA she is currently working as an art therapist in CPS cluster classrooms.

Megan’s practice is influenced by the disability justice movement, feminist theory, and person-centered therapy.

Megan is not currently accepting new clients.
