William completed his master’s degree in counseling psychology and drama therapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies in December 2020.
He has accumulated his clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility, a high school, and working with families in Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Through this work, he has witnessed the power which creative arts modalities have to help facilitate the dynamic integration between mind, heart, body, and spirit. Meeting people where they are in any given moment, he strives to collaborate with them on building a therapeutic alliance in which empowerment, healing, and growth take center stage. With past clients, William has utilized music, embodied techniques, projective techniques, narrative therapy, and activities-based therapy. In concert with the creative arts approaches, William often utilizes tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention.
In his free time, William enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, going on adventures outdoors, traveling, and playing video games.
William is currently accepting new clients.
