Alexandra Wilson

ITA has exciting news to report! Alexandra Wilson, a Music Therapy Intern from Cincinnati, Ohio, has been selected for the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Music Therapy Perspectives Undergraduate Research Award for the research project she completed in her senior year at Ohio University, Music Therapy Students’ Preparedness and Training to Work with LGBT Clients.

As part of this award, Alexandra has been invited to submit an extended abstract for publication in Music Therapy Perspectives. She will also be presenting a poster at the National AMTA Conference in November.

Alexandra completed her undergraduate work in music therapy at Ohio University and studied voice as her primary instrument; she is passionate about education, diversity and research in music therapy. During her tenure at ITA’s clinical internship program, Alexandra has proven to be a valuable asset to the team with her professional performance and as an arts therapy service provider to her clients. To learn more about our internship program, contact Andra Duncan (aduncan@itachicago.org)

We are very proud of Alexandra’s achievement as an ITA creative arts therapy intern. Please join us in congratulating Alexandra in this significant milestone in her career!
