ITA Intern Bradley Drozdowski at the Evanston Public Library’s Parent Child Workshop on May 13!
Music Therapy intern Bradley Drozdowski attended the Parent Child Workshop event at the Evanston Public Library on May 13th to make music with young children and to talk about the positive effects of music and music therapy during early childhood development with their parents. Parents came with their children ages 1-3 for a fun morning of playing and music making.
Bradley brought with him a variety of small percussion instruments and encouraged the children to explore instruments by picking them up and playing with them together with their parents and the other children. The families engaged with Bradley in music play with instruments and scarves and in singing familiar children’s songs. Bradley made music with the families for an hour before the group gathered for a circle time led by EPL’s own, Brian Wilson.
