Summer Ends, New Interns Begin!

October 9, 2019 by ITA Staff

Meet our newest interns, Rianna and Liliana! Coming to us from as far away as England and Germany, interns at ITA move our mission forward by supporting and managing important projects while also assisting therapists in their work with clients. In addition to our administrative internships, ITA also offers writing and accounting internships that are specifically designed for students or recent graduates who are interested in learning more about non-profit administration and applying their talents to projects at ITA. Learn more here! (www.itachicago.org/internships) or contact Amanda Ziemba, Internship Coordinator, at aziemba@itachicago.org.

Read on to meet our newest interns!

In 2017, she earned her BA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. Liliana is a teaching artist and is passionate about working with young people from under-resourced communities and schools, art and mental health. She is excited to learn more about Art Therapy and gain additional administrative experience within a non-profit organization.

Originally from England, Rianna Jamieson is a dance college student, with us for her international placement year to expand her knowledge on Dance and Movement Therapy. On campus she is involved in her Universities Gospel Choir, Ballroom and Latin dancing, as well as being the writer of her own poetry blog online. She is very excited to be with ITA for 8 months to explore and learn more about alternative methods of therapy to psychiatry and compare them to her home country.
