Welcome Megan and Adar

June 17, 2020 by ITA Staff

Headshot of Megan smiling in front of trees.Meet Megan, one of ITA’s newest Administrative Assistant Interns. Megan recently graduated from Illinois State University with a double major in Acting and Design/Production and hopes to continue her education at the graduate level in order to become a Creative Arts Therapist. Megan is extremely passionate about the importance of working in tandem with your body’s specific skills and talents, inclusivity in the arts, and working with underserved populations. She cannot wait to learn and grow from practicing therapists this summer at ITA, and for the chance to work toward her goal of spreading the importance of the arts as a vessel for healing and self–discovery.

Adar is a student at Macalester College double majoring in Theater and Dance, and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. He is joining ITA as an Administrative Intern and hopes to go on to pursue drama therapy! He is extremely excited to learn new approaches to creative arts-based healing in an explicitly therapeutic context. In his free time, Adar can be found dancing, writing, and hosting a radio show with friends.

If you’re interested in learning more about ITA’s internship opportunities, visit www.itachicago.org/internships.
