ITA Receives a Grant From the Chicago Community Trust to Fund Services for Individuals with Disabilities
We are extremely grateful to be the recipient of a GO Grant from The Chicago Community Trust. The Trust has funded ITA since 2011 and will continue to support creative arts therapy into our next fiscal year. Past grants from The Chicago Community Trust have funded programs and services at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago including music therapy and drama therapy. ITA was proud to serve children and adults who suffered from brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury or other complicated medical conditions. The Trust will now fund the general operations of ITA and allow us to continue to provide low-cost therapy to families in need of reduced session fees. The funding will also help us to meet the expectations outlined in our strategic plan related to growing our services and reaching more individuals through art therapy, dance/movement therapy, drama therapy and music therapy.
For over 100 years, The Chicago Community Trust, our region’s community foundation, has connected the generosity of donors with community needs by making grants to organizations working to improve metropolitan Chicago. We were thrilled to partner with them to host an On the Table Event in May. Read more about the dinner we hosted here
