ITA Music Therapist Jeffrey Wolfe Presents at ESAP Coalition Meeting

December 5, 2017 by ITA Staff

Wolfe Joins Monthly Panel of Professionals as a Featured Speaker

Evanston Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition held their monthly meeting on November 9th in the gathering space at Y.O.U. in Evanston. ITA is proud to say that our very own music therapist and Director of Community Programs & Financial Operations, Jeffrey Wolfe, attended as a presenter. The gathering centered on the topic of distracted and impaired driving, which encouraged discourse about distracted driving, drugged driving, and drunk driving statistics, signs and symptoms of addiction, and prevention and wellness strategies. Wolfe, a longtime member of the ESAPC, joined an esteemed line of professional panelists – including Sharam Heshmant, PhD, Author, Professor of Public Health, and Blogger for Psychology Today, Officers Pat Wozniak and Will Arzuaga of the Evanston Police Department, and Susan Leonard, CADC, Community Member, and Marketing/Promotional Products Specialist.

During his presentation, Wolfe defined and discussed the six dimensions of wellness – physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and social. Wolfe explained how each dimension can be embraced so that one is better equipped to manage the complexities of life. Wolfe is grateful for the opportunity to share knowledge that underpins making healthy lifestyle choices, and looks forward to future collaborations with the organization.
